The club consists of people with an interest in agriculture and farming history. We meet monthly Sept-May. We sponsor 3 farm toy shows each year and award an annual scholarship to a local student pursuing an agricultural, environmental or natural resources degree. We raffle a pedal tractor each year to fund the scholarship. We also participate in the Mummers Parade and other ag related local activities, such as antique tractor shows.
The Leon E. Thomas Memorial Scholarship Award
We have renamed our scholarship in honor of our late president, Leon E. Thomas. Leon founded the club with the dream of promoting agricultural education in our area.
Every year we award a scholarship to a deserving area student who plans to pursue a degree in an ag-related field. So far we have awarded over $14,000.
